Doughnut Plant NYC Creme Brulee Doughnut

When I speak with those who have had the pleasure of visiting The Doughnut Plant at 379 Grand St in New York(212-505-3700), I often hear the favorite donut is the Creme Brulee. "Creme Brulee" is French for burnt cream and was first recorded in a recipe book in 1691 by Francois Massialot. You can check out more recent "creme brulee" recipes in Debbie Puente's new book, "Elegantly Easy Creme Brulee" at http://www.crembrulee.com/.
Doughnut Plant's Creme Brulee Donut is soft with rich creme inside. There is a sweet caramel glaze coating on this "cute" little ramekin shaped donut. A ramekin is the small bowl Creme Brulee is traditionally served in. If you have the opportunity to try this great little donut, do not pass it up! You will not be sorry!
Doughnut Plant Rocks!!

EAT HAPPY!
